Ragpicker Press is an independent publisher dedicated to new writing from Latin America. It was set up specifically to publish The Football Crónicas, a collection of football-themed writing, and now launches its second book, Crude Words, an anthology of contemporary Venezuelan writing.

Tim has over twenty years editorial experience and has lived, worked and travelled extensively throughout Latin America.

Jethro Soutar is a writer and a translator of Spanish and Portuguese. He has written two non-fiction books with Latin American themes (one of them a biography of Ronaldinho - Ronaldinho: Football's Flamboyant Maestro), and translated crime fiction novels from Argentina and Brazil. He has also travelled extensively throughout Latin America, and lived, studied and worked in Brazil.
